It happened with the DS, and the same seems to now be happening with Sony's PSP. The new "slim & lite" version of the console has already sold 500,000 units in Japan.
Do you think this could breathe life into new game line-ups, and perhaps more support for the nie extinct UMD movie?

I'm gonna get one of these I love my psp, as for umd movies the idea is cracked, who want's to watch a small movie?? But for games, the loading is faster and the memory is bigger, who knows what will happen. I'm hopeing that the thing with bt and messenger happens, I also want more interactiveness with the ps3. I like the idea of being able to acsess your ps3 with your psp and hopefully leading to play your ps3 with your psp. Then your ps3 could become some sort of gameing hub for you.

What about the 40GB PS3? That's pretty "lite" on storage and backwards compability :-)
